I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist focusing on individual, couples and family therapy. With 20 years of experience as a social worker, parent, hospice grief counselor, spouse, and marriage and family therapist, I have helped countless individuals, couples, and families navigate the challenges of mental illness, maneuver the rough waters of parenting and marriage conflict, or traverse the pain and suffering of grief, change, and loss. I have seen individual free themselves from chronic anxiety, stale marriages become passionate again, and angry teenagers reconnect with their frustrated parents. I have seen couples overcome infidelity, couples decide to divorce amicably, and I've seen children thrive when their parents worked hard to put their kids' needs before their own through family break-ups.
As a trained spiritual director and ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, I have also helped many individuals recover from the spiritual abuse and the pain endured growing up in legalistic or abusive religious environments. I enjoy helping people discover more healing perspectives on the Divine, no matter what their faith or religious tradition. I am thrilled to welcome LGBTQ + couples to my practice and support ALL couples in sustaining passionate, long-lasting commitments. In addition to my private practice, I have 20+ years of facilitating grief groups, parenting education groups, divorce support groups, pre-marital retreats, marriage retreats, and meditation retreats here and abroad.
